The fight against global warming and the transformation of our society towards a sustainable and ecological model are the greatest challenges of our time. This is something we are fully aware of at Like Mirror and that is why we are committed to the purpose!
To be able to reduce our environmental impact, it was important to take stock of the situation. We have therefore produced a sheet of environmental and health declaration (FDES) for Like Mirror in order to know precisely the environmental impacts of our stretch canvas mirrors.
This, throughout their life cycle, from the extraction of the raw materials necessary for their manufacture to their end-of-life treatment (whether it is landfilling or recycling, etc.), in through its phases of use, maintenance and transport. This also includes landfill and recycling options.
With this data, we were able to compare the ecological efficiency of our various Like Mirror stretch mirror products with mirror products from the INIES database (the national reference database on environmental and health data for construction products and equipment .) per m² of mirror produced.

In 2022, Like Mirror signed up with Greenly. Greenly is a platform that allows companies to measure, manage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We carried out an initial audit which enabled us to establish a GHG report for the year 2021. This complies with regulatory standards by taking into account scopes 1 (direct emissions), 2 (indirect emissions linked to energy consumption) and even 3 (other indirect emissions). It also includes a physical analysis adapted to the emissions of our activity of production and sale of light mirrors.
Following this, we established with Greenly a “Net Zero” strategy: a personalized plan and a certified carbon contribution. This plan will allow us, with the support of a climate engineer from Greenly, to find and activate the right levers over the next few years to be able to achieve the carbon objectives set by the Paris Agreements.
With global warming, the events and architecture sectors, like many other sectors, will have to undergo a profound transformation. Rather than waiting for inevitable legislation that would force us to quickly change our practices or expose us to penalties, Like Mirror has decided to anticipate these issues.
In particular with these various inventories and monitoring of our carbon emissions, but also by offering stretch mirrors for hire to allow event use without them being thrown away post-event Thus our stretch mirrors continue their life and serve for other events later.
Our stretch mirrors are also products which, in an architectural or interior decoration use, are considered as durable products. Indeed, when they are installed in places inaccessible to the public, such as mirror ceilings for example, we guarantee our light mirrors a lifespan of at least 10 years.
